the Agora clinic is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Clinical Embryologist to join our established and highly skilled Embryology team. Based across our state-of-the-art laboratories in Brighton and Eastbourne, this senior role offers the opportunity to combine hands-on clinical excellence with teaching and mentoring within the laboratory.

The Role

As a Senior Clinical Embryologist, you will play a key role in the delivery, development and running of our laboratory services.

You will work autonomously while supporting and mentoring senior and pre-registrant embryologists, ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice and patient care. Leadership and guidance for this role is provided by the Laboratory Manager and Director of Embryology.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing all standard embryology and andrology techniques
  • Competent ICSI practitioner
  • Competent PGT biopsy practitioner (desirable)
  • Ensuring compliance with the HFEA Code of Practice and quality management systems
  • Supporting laboratory governance, audits, and continuous improvement
  • Contributing to training, supervision, and professional development of junior staff
  • Working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary clinical team
  • Maintaining excellent communication with colleagues and patients where appropriate

About You

You should be a confident, highly skilled embryologist with a strong commitment to quality, leadership, and patient-centred care.

 

Essential requirements:

  • BSc in Life Sciences
  • HCPC registration
  • Minimum 5 years’ clinical embryology experience
  • Proven ability to work independently and lead by example
  • Excellent technical, organisational, and communication skills

Desirable:

  • MSc in Assisted Reproductive Technologies
  • Experience mentoring or supervising embryology staff
  • Embryo Biopsy Practitioner
