Dr Cheryl Lambe
Consultant Fertility Specialist
Cheryl qualified from Imperial College of Science Technology and Medicine in 1996. She has always been passionate about women’s health and initially worked in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. During this time, she spent a year working as a Gynae Research Fellow at Kings College Hospital, where she divided her time between sexual health and general gynaecology and published research into antenatal HIV testing. There she ran a unit called The Haven which specialises in the assessment and support of victims of sexual assault referred by the metropolitan police, performing clinical forensic medical examinations and attending court as a professional witness when necessary.
She continued to work as a police surgeon for several years after moving to Sussex and undertaking her training in general practice. She is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners and has worked as a GP partner in Henfield since 2005.
She has maintained her interest in family planning, women’s health and fertility during her time as a GP partner and has been a community Fertility Specialist since 2012. She has studied advanced fertility practice and IVF under the mentorship of the Agora since 2016.
Cheryl is also passionate about medical education and currently teaches Year 4 and 5 students from Brighton and Sussex Medical School and Year 6 students from Imperial and UCL. She acts as a mentor for sixth formers wishing to study medicine and has run multiple mini interview courses both in person and on line.
She has four children and lives in the countryside with 3 horses, 3 dogs and several home bred chickens! She loves cooking and entertaining, skiing and sailing. She has completed a couple of marathons but can’t hand on heart say that she enjoyed them!
She is hugely excited and very proud to be part of The Agora team.
