Andrology Technician and Laboratory Administrator

the Agora clinic is seeking a compassionate, organised, and motivated Andrology Technician and Laboratory Administrator to join our close-knit laboratory team. This is a combined role blending hands-on andrology work with laboratory administration, placing patient support and communication at the heart of fertility care

You will be one of the voices and faces patients encounter, playing a vital role in supporting them through what can be an emotional and life-changing journey.

About The Agora Clinic

Our mission is to empower everyone who wishes to build a family — now or in the future — by providing inclusive, evidence-based reproductive care, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, or ethnicity.

We are proud to be nationally recognised for our work with the LGBTQ+Q+ community and to deliver high success rates without patient selection, combining scientific excellence with exceptional, person-centred care.

The Role

Alongside technical and administrative duties, you will provide reassurance, clear communication, and practical support to patients at every stage of their treatment pathway.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting quality control, equipment checks, and stock management
  • Working in accordance with the HFEA Code of Practice and internal protocols

Patient Communication & Laboratory Administration

  • Acting as a key point of contact for patients, both in person and by telephone
  • Answering laboratory and clinic phone calls with empathy, clarity, and professionalism
  • Providing direct support to patients regarding sample production, appointments, and laboratory-related queries
  • Supporting patients through sensitive and sometimes emotional conversations with care and discretion
  • Liaising closely with embryologists, clinicians, nurses, and administrative teams to ensure a seamless patient journey
  • Managing laboratory documentation, data entry, and patient records
  • Supporting audits, inspections, and quality management systems

About You

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confidence answering phone calls and communicating complex or sensitive information clearly
