Fertility Nurse Manager

The Agora Clinic in Hove are looking to appoint a Fertility Nurse Manger to lead the nursing team. The applicant should be an NMC registered nurse with at least 5 years’ experience in fertility nursing.

The Fertility Nurse Manager will be accountable for the day to day management, training, development and performance of the nursing team, working closely with Medical Director, Operations Manager, Lab Manager & Quality Manger. The successful applicant will lead the nursing team strategically to help promote the growth and professional development of individual staff as well as the success of the clinic. They will support the Quality Management System by driving quality and compliance activities within the nursing department.

The Fertility Nurse Manager will be expected to perform senior clinical nursing duties, including but not limited to nurse consultations, pelvic ultrasound scans, inseminations and be accountable for the smooth running of the treatment room. They will participate in the nursing rota duties and ensure clinical cover at all times, distributing personnel resources effectively.

Key leadership demands of the role:

  • Strategic planning, implementing efficiency, innovation and productivity
  • Development and monitoring of all Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and quality objectives in the nursing department
  • Assisting in preparing for internal and external regulatory inspections
  • Developing and reviewing all nursing policies including those related to health & safety and infection control
  • Undertaking project management and risk analysis
  • Strict budget planning and stock control
