The Agora is very excited to be once again involved with Brighton Pride and our team are getting ready for a great day! Please do come and visit our stand in Preston Park where we will be on hand with plenty of info about how we help the LGBTQ community on their road to Parenthood. We will also be giving away goodies and running a fun quiz with a prize for every winner!

Our ethos is to make becoming a parent an amazing experience whoever you are. We are incredibly proud to share with you one such journey experienced by Danni and Jess.

Danni and Jess: “Our journey like most people’s has had its ups and downs, its low points and high points but we cannot put in to words how extremely happy and blessed we now feel to have our beautiful daughter. From the bottom of our hearts we just want for everyone that has the desire to become parents and have a family the chance to fulfil this dream so after egg sharing throughout our own treatment and becoming mummies ourselves my mind was made up to continue donating and become altruistic egg donors.

Knowing how it feels when you want something so badly and the only way it’s possible is to use a donor, whether it be a sperm donor or an egg donor it is the most, scary feeling. That feeling of uncertainty and desperation, wondering if there’s someone willing to donate to you? Are they suitable? All this on top of your struggles of becoming a parent in the first place.

Without our sperm donor we wouldn’t have our little girl and a year on I still think about this man and how thankful we are for the amazing thing he has done. I wish to help others in the way in which he has helped us. Give others the opportunity to have what we have. Make other people’s dreams become reality like ours.

However we could never have got through any of this without such an incredible team. The Agora are the kindest, most awesome people and we couldn’t of chosen a better bunch of people to share this whole entire journey with.  They have made our rollercoaster ride less bumpy and kept us on the right track from the very beginning with their care, support, advice, compassion & sense of humour. We can’t thank the Agora enough for everything they have done for us especially Mel and Laura. They are an absolute credit to the team.

At the Agora you are not made to feel like ‘just another patient’; you feel like you come in as a patient and leave as a friend. They absolutely go above and beyond!”

Carole Gilling-Smith: “I would like to say a very heart-felt thank you to Danni and Jess. You are such wonderful people and we are so happy to have been part of your journey to parenthood.”
