Georgia joined the Agora team in June to spend her Gap year with us. She originally came as a work experience student in 2019 and found the work fascinating and felt this would be a great opportunity before she goes on to study to be a nurse or midwife.
All our “gappies’ work within both the nursing and admin team and carry out many essential behind the scenes paperwork and leg work that many of our patients never see but are essential to make sure every single cycle of treatment runs to perfection. They are fully trained in every aspect of fertility care, which includes taking bloods, helping in the treatment and recovery rooms and scanning for embryo transfers. By the time they leave us they are fully fledged Fertility Health Care Assistants, having gained a deep understanding of the challenges our patients face. Georgia is a wonderful team player and our patients love her empathy and passion for her work.
She is also an amazing singer and actor having performed in many musicals in the past including on the West End Stage as the young Fiona in Shrek the Musical.
“I love being a part of your fertility journey whether I am the voice you hear on the phone, the hand you hold during your blood test or the face you see when waking up from your egg collection.
The Agora not only supports you, our patients, but helps nurture the staff in more ways than one. Positive or negative the Agora is here for you every step of the way.”
